Living Green is a Reponsibility, not a Choice
On February 1, I delivered a keynote address to the Thomas Lloyd CleanTech Congress in Frankfurt along other inspiring speakers and before an audience of entrepreneurs in clean technologies and energy investment.
ThomasLloyd is a leading global Investment Banking and Investment Management Group solely dedicated to Renewable Energies and Cleantech sectors. The event was targeted at a business audience of private and institutional investors, finance service providers, banks, and asset managers. The main theme of the event was a discussion about social and economic effects of climate change and the global and economic necessity of expanding renewable energy infrastructure and the need for a suitable economic and legal framework. Fusion of economics and ecology was an essential underlying theme of the entire conference.
The other speakers were Arnold Schwarzenegger, the 38th Governor of California, an environmental crusader and leading advocate for clean technologies in the USA, Lord Nicholas Stern of Brentford, Leading Global Economist and Chairman of the Grantham Research Institute at the world renowned London School of Economics.
I chose to focus on the importance of living a green and sustainable lifestyle. My main theme was the responsibility we are bear for future generations, and the need to live in a sustainable way.
The responses from the audience were uniformly positive. Here is what some of the attendees said to me,
“”Change your mind and think green” is certainly the interest of many people”
"It was such a pleasure to see and listen to someone who is able to bring across his point with so much passion and dedication for the cause".
